The Hunger Games!!!!

Oh The Hunger Games! How I ADORE  The Hunger Games! They're so much better than the Twilight series, but then again not quite as spectacular as Harry Potter (but then again, what is?)! I really wanted to go see the movie at midnight but I was unable to so instead I'm going today. I can't wait!! But if I DID go at midnight, this is my ideal outfit, hehe!

Bake You Pies V-Neck

Aha. This shirt is a line from a youtube video parodying The Hunger Games. It's too funny. Really.

China Glaze The Hunger Games Collection

Oh man. I want this bad boy sooooo bad. The color is FANTABULOUS! Or so it appears. I'm sure it's even better in person!

That would be my ideal outfit paired with some skinny jeans and maybe some flats or sandals. I can't wait to see it!

Have any of you readers seen it? Please, feel free to comment and share your thoughts! ;)

Feelin' Blue

I found this nice blue polish on sale at Walgreens for $1! Yay! It's a brand I've never tried before, Sinful Colors. I used the shade Why Not. The polish comes out darker than on the Walgreens site, as you can see below. I really liked this blue and it WASN'T GLITTERY SHIMMERY OR SPARKLY. I KNOW, RIGHT? It's so pretty though :D

Ooh, ahh... nice, right? I love them! So much!

*Sparkle Sparkle*

So I got a pretty cool new glittery top coat recently (shocker, right?), Pure Ice Cheatin. The polish itself is clear but it has LOTS of little purple glitters and the occasional blue glitters. It's fan-tab-u-lous! <3

Because I wanted my nails to be more purpley than blue I used Sally Hansen Purple Potion. But another day I'll try it over my Sally Hansen Blue It for a more blue effect. But ya it's pretty glittery and sparkly and gorgeous and I paint my nails way too much, hehe :)

I'm Obsessed - Divine Swine

Hello Fashionistas!
I'm finally doing a post on my favorite glitter polish, Divine Swine by OPI!!!

AMAZING, RIGHT?!?!? Well actually I don't think the pictures do it any kind of justice... I used either two or three coats of Divine Swine over one coat of Wet n' Wild Frosted Fuchsia. It is so glittery it's ridiculous. It's like, blinding on a bright day. It's probably the greatest thing ever. Pictures will never be able to do it justice so why don't you do yourself a favor and go buy it and paint your nails? ;)

I Have Little Watermelons For Toes.

Buenos dias/tardes/noches Fashionistas!

The other day I guess I was missing the wonderful warm weather and bright colors of summer because I painted my toes like watermelons! <3

TAH-DUMMM!!

I used Wet n' Wild Dream Poppy for the pink and Pure Ice Wild Thing and some plain black nail polish, a black sharpie would work too! and a clear top coat. I did two coats each of the pink and green. :)
I LOVE MY TOES!!!

Do Me A Favor, Lovies?

She's one of my bestest friends and she wrote this song (with some help ;) And it's totes preshhh. It's adorable. It's fantabulous to the infinite degree! So by all means, watch it and share it and love it!

Now try to get this cute tune out of your head. Seriously. It's been stuck in my head since likee, summertime. And now I can't go anywhere and see red n' white converse or a guy with blue eyes and brown hair without thinking of this song.
So watch it a few times, sing along, and share with all your friends! :) <3

Shoppin At Ross

Hey Fashionistas!
I don't know about you guys but I like to shop at this store called Ross because they have clothes for a lot cheaper than other places. Basically they buy clothes (and other things!) from retailers for cheap because they either had an over stock, things are now out of season, or other various reasons. A lot of times you can find super cute things for cheap! So I thought I'd share some of my favorite finds!

image.jpeg  image.jpeg
I got this green v-neck for about $6. It's all see-through so I have to wear a cami underneath. But It's pretty cute and casual! It has cute little stars all over it too as you can see in the close-up! :)

image.jpeg

I like to think of this shirt as my princess shirt because of the poofy sleeves ;) It's a grayish-purple burnout shirt (like the star one above) and it has a pretty floral pattern but you can't really see it in pictures.. but I paid $7 for it!

image.jpeg

I probably paid somewhere around $10 for this drapey sweater (?) thingy. Although it's not really a sweater, but I don't know really what to call it but I LOVE it! I love the gray and black stripes and it looks super great with a plain solid cami underneath, like pink or blue! :)

photo.JPG

EEEEEEKKK! I love these shoes! They are Steve Madden ballet flats with a leopard print and peep toes and a big black bow! And they are shiny and pretty! <3 I also paid $9 for them! $9!!!

image.jpeg

I got this faux-leather bomber jacket for $20. It's so awesome! And warm!

image.jpeg image.jpeg

I also got this really pretty cream coat/jacket. I've always loved white coats! It also has pretty ruffles on the back and it was only $15! And like the bomber above, I got them both in the summer, so they were pretty cheap!

image.jpeg

Funny story about this one.. I went out of town for Thanksgiving but forgot to bring a coat! It was supposed to be cold! :O So I took a quick trip to Ross and picked up this jacket. It's so cute and plaid on the outside but the ENTIRE inside is all faux-fur! IT'S SO FLUFFYYYYYY!!! And very warm. <3

So those are my favorite things I've bought at Ross! But they usually have a good selection of different things like clothes, shoes, dresses, toys, house stuff, electronic accessories, purses, wallets... I could go on and on.

Hope you enjoy shopping as much as I do!

Nails, Nails, Nails!

Well, I don't know about you fashionistas but I flippin LOVE painting my nails!!! It's so... I don't know... you can just get really creative and original! So I painted my nails and stuff... so check it outttt!

photo.JPG

In this pic my nails are actually done with those fantab Sally Hansen real nail polish strip thingymajigs!! They turned out alright.. here's the pros and cons:
pros: AMAZING patterns!!!
SO MANY TO CHOOSE FROM!!!
Lasts a while!!

cons: They don't stretch very well... they tear :<
PAIN IN THE BUTT TO TAKE OFF!!!
sorta expensive for 1 mani's worth

Sooo that's my little review. Anyways but the are pretty fab! The one's I'm wearing in this pic are the holiday ones. The strips are silver with red poinsettias :)

image.jpeg

In this pic my nails are painted with Designer... De Better by OPI. It's from the Muppets Collection! Which I love love looooovvvvveeee!! <3 It's a shimmery silver with little teensy tiny red shimmers. It's pretty rad. Thinking of trying some shatter over it, yeah?

Well, I also painted my nails with the oh so fabulous Divine Swine by OPI- also from the Muppets Collection! IT'S PURE GLITTER!!! OMG!! It's like... purpleish pinkish magentaish little glitters with big chunky silver glitters!! EEP!! It's fab and I should've taken a picture. But no picture could have done it justice. I two coats of the great glitter polish over one coat of Louvre Me Louvre Me Not by OPI. So seriously you NEED to go out and buy these colors. Or stay at home and buy them from the links... But then paint them like how I did. seriously. It's MeSmErIzInG O_o

Anyways, much love to my fine Fashionistas!

Glittery Winter Nails!!

It's no lie that glitter nail polish is pretty popular right now. Glitter polish looks good with many outfits and adds a fun and sassy pop, right at your fingertips! I recently painted my nails dark blue and verrrrryyyyy glittery! :D

What I did was took a dark shimmery sapphire blue nail polish - 1 coat, (Sally Hansen Blue It, to be exact!) then took a really clear polish with a blue tint that had LOTS OF GLITTER in it and did 3 coats of that, then a top coat. It took a really long time to dry... But the end result was worth it!

Glitter nails are pretty popular lately. I've been seeing more advertisements and glitter polishes at stores lately. And I've seen lots of people wearing them! So here's the polishes/similar to the polishes I used, and some other crazy glitter polishes :) Another great thing about glitter polishes is they really brighten up your fingertips in dreary winter weather.

Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear, Blue It, 0.4 Fluid Ounce
Sally Hansen Blue It - Amazon.com $2.67

I actually couldn't find the glitter polish I used. I don't know what brand it is or anything and I couldn't find one similar... But here's more GLITTER!!!

2011 Holiday "The Muppets" Gone Gonzo! C11

China Glaze Doll House 80432 (glitter)
China Glaze Doll House - Amazon.com $2.98

China Glaze Nova 80425 (glitter)
China Glaze Nova - Amazon.com $2.90

OPI New Summer 2011 Collection I Lily Love You
OPI I Lily Love You - Amazon.com $5

Essie Holiday 2011 Luxe Effects
Essie Luxe Effects Set In Stones - Amazon.com $7.35

And if THAT doesn't quench your glitter-lust then the rest of the new Muppets Collection by OPI should! About half of them are ridiculously glittery, just the way I like it! :)

Enjoy your glittery nails, Fashionistas!

A Warm Everyday Outfit For This Season

Here's a warm outfit idea that you could wear this cold fall/winter!

Mossimo Supply Co. Double Breasted Pea Coat - Assorted Colors.Opens in a new window
Mossimo Supply Co. Double Breasted Pea Coat in Tomatillo Red - Target $35
I love pea coats <3 especially the red ones :)

Geo Print Scarf in Blue/Pink - Forever 21 $10.80
I think the scarf really makes this outfit - it adds originality and personality. And it's colorful and striped :)

Solid Scoop Neck Tee in Black - Forever 21 $7.80
Just your average long sleeved scoop neck! Also comes in pink. Sometimes simple is best :)

Levi's 524 Faded Skinny Jeans
Lemme just start off by saying these are my favorite pair of jeans ever. They are just skinny enough without cutting off my circulation. They make my butt look good (which is hard considering I hardly have one) and out of all the brands of jeans I have ever tried, Levi's always wins. :)

Womens Lower East SideWomen's Riley Tall Slouch Boot
These boots are so cute and so inexpensive!! I love the gray color and the little slouchies :) Also comes in black or tan.

I hope you enjoy Fashionistas! And don't forget to like the official Stari Style Facebook Page!

Warm & Toasty!!

Well since it's getting colder (or already is for some) it's important to stay warm & toasty AND fashionable, of course! So I put together this fab post full of scarves to keep your neck nice and toasty this season. And don't forget to check out my post on fantabulous hats!

Crinkled Plaid Scarf in Red/Navy - Forever 21 $5.90
Ohh this scarf is TOO FAB! First off, it's plaid which is pretty hot this fall (like it has been for the last few years, ha) and secondly, it's RED!! Red is the GREATEST thing when you just need a POP of color. In my opinion anyways :)

Artist Woven Scarf in Grey/Cream - Forever 21 $8.80
This scarf is wayyy cuuutttteeee! It has fun little fringey stuff at the bottom and if you look at the other pics it's zebra patterned-ish!

Open Knit Scarf in Coral - Forever 21 $9.50
I really really like this scarf. And the color! It's totes cute with it's knit design as opposed to the first two. <3

Jagged Colors Scarf in Blue/Multi - Forever 21 $9.80
When I was scrolling through the ahh-dor-able scarves at the Forever 21 website, I saw this scarf and it reminded me of the song Moves Like Jagger!! Because, ya know, it says "jagged" ... anyways it's a cute scarf!

Crinkled Floral Scarf in Red/Multi - Forever 21 $9.80
EEEEEKKKK!  I just HAD to post this one! It's totesally pretty!! And it's sorta different than the other scarves you see around fall/winter.. It looks sorta like a springy scarf, but hey! Pops of color to a dark and dreary winter outfit is almost always a win in my book! :)

Merona® Woven Solid Scarf - Purple.Opens in a new window
Merona Woven Solid Scarf in Purple - Target $12.99
It's PPPPUUUUURRRRRRPPPPPLLLLLEEEEEEE!!!!!! Everyone loves purple, right?? Anyways this scarf is pretty cute, but plain.. But pretty cute! And it's no joke that it's all about FRINGE FRINGE FRINGE! which this scarf oh-so-obviously has.

Converse® One Star® Plaid Scarf - Purple.Opens in a new window
Converse One Star Plaid Scarf in Purple - Target $14.99
Oh, look! Another totes cute purple scarf!! And this one is plaiddddd. <3

Mossimo Supply Co. Scarf - Red/Grey.Opens in a new window
Mossimo Supply Co. Scarf in Red/Grey - Target $16.99
Ohh and what's cold weather without a striped scarf?? I'll tell you what - NOTHING!

Mossimo® Ruffled Scarf - Rose.Opens in a new window
Mossimo Ruffled Scarf in Rose - Target $16.99
Well this scarf is very much similar to a Vera Wang one I found at Kohl's which I am very much in love with. Sadly, it wasn't on their website... but I found this one at Target and it's ALMOST as cute. But not quite. But still VERY much cute and will keep you warm & Toasty ^.^

Enjoy my fine Fashionistas! Until next time!
